Clark, Di Giorgio earn OUA All-Star nominations, Wasson earns OUA Coach of the Year honours for Excalibur women's lacrosse

On top of the winning the 2021 Patterson Cup as OUA Champions, the Trent Excalibur women's lacrosse team earned two all-star nominations along with one major award from the OUA Championships in Oshawa, Ont.

Defender Victoria Clark and Midfielder Avery Di Giorgio were named onto the OUA All-Star team after a strong season for the Excalibur lacrosse team.

A graduating student-athlete and co-captain of the team, Clark is coming off a strong OUA regular season with the Excalibur as she added one goal and four assists in the OUA Championships.

In her third year with the Excalibur, Di Giorgio continued her offensive streak from the regular season, tallying 14 goals and eight assists in the OUA Championship playoffs. Di Giorgio was named one of the Players of the Game in the round robin game against the Guelph Gryphons and once more in the final against the Queen's Gaels.

Head coach Tori Wasson earns her first OUA Coach of the Year award, following the Excalibur's regular season and championship run. This marks the Trent Excalibur women's lacrosse program's first Coach of Year honours.

The Excalibur earned their second-straight Patterson Cup victory after 10-9 win over the Queen's Gaels. Coach Wasson, together with the full Excalibur coaching staff, has built a strong program and recruited exceptional student-athletes since the team began in 2013. In just eight years, the team has won the Patterson Cup three times, first in 2016, then again in 2019 and 2021. In 2018, the team won bronze at the OUA Championship.
