The new jackets arrived in January and were worn proudly by the Trent Men's and Women's teams at OUA's. Women's OUA's were hosted at the Oshawa Golf and Country Club February 3-5th (facing UOIT, TMU (formerly Ryerson), Carleton, and Windsor). While the Men's OUA's were held locally at the Peterborough Curling Club February 10-12th (facing off against Queen's, Carleton, Waterloo and Algoma).
The men's championship weekend proved just how invested to Peterborough community is in their young student-athletes. Peterborough Curling Club and Peterborough Golf and Country Club members volunteered as timekeepers at the men's OUA Championships and ensured the weekend ran smoothly. Both Excalibur men's and women's teams joined local leagues this season. All 17 athletes were made to feel welcome and enjoyed the competition, and now look forward to another successful season next year.
Highschool Spiel
After finishing a wonderful season, Trent Excalibur Curling welcomed the next generation of curlers into the community during their Highschool Spiel, hosted on February 15.
Hosted by Trent at PGCC featuring boys' and girls' teams from TASS, Monseigneur Jamot, Cobourg, and Lindsay we saw the next generation of curlers who will be coming to play at local clubs and hopefully eventually play at university or college compete in a very sussesful spiel.
