Carleton 1 - 0 Trent

The men in green opened the 2019 season at home against nationally ranked Carleton University. Strong defensive performances from goalkeeper Jacob McPhee and defender Tife Oluwaseyi helped keep the game scoreless at halftime. Unfortunately, Carleton's pressure was just too much to handle and a perfectly placed longball found its way around the keeper. Trent pressed late but it was all for not as the men would get handed their first loss of the season.

Laurentian 2 - 1 Trent

Carrying over the positivity from Saturday's loss, the Excalibur men made the trip North to Sudbury. Trent wasted no time getting on the board, they pressed early and often. In the 15th minute, David Attah-Ogbole would convert in the box to give Trent a 1-0 lead. Laurentian didn't back down and within 10 minutes they tied it up and took the lead. Trent refused to go down without a fight but neither would Laurentian, collectively both teams were given six yellow cards, four of them in the second half. Trent collects their second loss of the season and now sit at 0-2 for the year.

The Excalibur men's soccer team will visit Kingston, Ontario to play RMC at 7 PM on Friday, September 6th, 2019.
