Eric Noyes is the Head Coach of the Men’s Rugby Team. He has been coaching rugby for the past 11 years and started coaching rugby at Trent in February 2022. While coaching the Excalibur, he is also currently the Head Coach of the Oshawa Vikings U18 boys as well as the Head Coach of the Jr./Sr. Girls at Ajax High School. Before coming to Trent, he also spent five years as an assistant coach of the Durham College Lords Varsity Men’s program, and he has also been involved with the Rugby Ontario Blues program since 2018.
Eric began playing rugby in high school and had a rather uneventful playing career until he stopped playing due to injury. He transitioned to coaching and has been involved in the game as a coach ever since.
Since coming to Trent, Eric has greatly impacted the team. The Excalibur have gone from a 1-5 team, missing the playoffs, to a 3-3 team and making the playoffs in the second year. “A small step forward, but still much work to do to reach our goals of competing for an OUA championship.”
