Women’s Rugby
On Friday night, the Excalibur Women’s Rugby team travelled to Hamilton to take on the McMaster Marauders. The women played and fought hard but were unable to secure the victory and unfortunately lost 37-0. The Women’s rugby team plays their final home game of the season during Head of the Trent this Friday.

Men's Rugby
The Men’s Rugby team defeated the U of T Varsity Blues in a 19-17 victory during their first home game of the season. With three tries in the first half, two by Austin Allen and one by William Johnston Allan, along with 2 conversions scored by Darren Kusinski, the Men were off to a dominating start, up 19-5 at halftime. The Blues attempted to form a comeback, but the Excalibur was able to hold them off and steal the victory for their first of the season.  

Men’s Lacrosse
The Men’s Lacrosse team had a very successful weekend, taking the victory from both the McGill Redbirds and Bishops Gaiters. On Saturday, they defeated the Redbirds 10-8, with a hat trick from Adam Hawrelak, and two goals each from Jordan Dool, Dallyn Rai, and Holden Lowes. On Sunday, they defeated the Bishops Gaiters 7-5. Two more goals were scored by Cole Hanrahan, who is the current CUFLA points and goals leader this season with 24 points and 14 goals in six games. The men are now at 5-1 this season, with 4 games left to play.

Women’s Lacrosse
On Sunday, the Women’s Lacrosse team visited Oshawa for a double-header against the Queen’s Gaels and U of T Varsity Blues. They lost their first game to the Gaels 12-6 after a hard-fought battle. During their second game against U of T, the women came out and dominated with a 15-10 victory against the Blues, making their record 4-2 halfway though the season.

Women's Soccer
The Women’s Soccer team suffered a disappointing loss to the U of T Varsity Blues as they faced off against them in Toronto on Sunday. The Girls were down 2-0 after the first half, and then 3-0 after a penalty shot goal by a blues player. The women quickly responded with a goal by Molly Steele, but unfortunately lost the game 4-1.

Men’s Soccer
The Excalibur Men’s Soccer team also had an unfortunate loss to the U of T Varsity Blues. The Blues struck first, scoring the first goal of the game in just over 27 minutes, to which the Excalibur responded with a goal by Leo Frans, assisted by Oliver Parratt tying the game. The game stayed tied until halftime, but Toronto then scored two goals in the second half that Trent was unable to erase, making the final score 3-1 Blues.
