Trent Excalibur Men’s Rugby Team Punches Ticket To OUA Playoffs
Coach Noyes leads Excalibur program back to OUA playoffs for first time since 2019 season
The Trent Excalibur men’s rugby team has clinched a spot in the 2023 OUA Men’s Rugby Playoffs, following a tightly contested 3-3 season.
With a slow start to the season, following losses against Western and Guelph, the men turned on the heat at their home opener on Sept. 23, defeating the Toronto Varsity Blues 19-17.
The momentum from their home opener launched the team into a three-game win streak, defeating RMC and York in the weeks following.
Trent will face Queen’s University in the Quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. in Kingston. The Queen’s Gaels concluded their regular season with a 4-2 record.
