Lutz, Earle earn Athlete of the Week honours to close out OUA seasons (March 2-6)
Last week saw the conclusion of both the Excalibur varsity men's volleyball team and Excalibur varsity fencing club seasons.
The Excalibur fencing team competed at the OUA Championships, hosted by the RMC Paladins from March 5-6. Leading the way for the Excalibur was Sydney Lutz, as the rookie finished 13th in the women's epee. Qualifying for the round of 16, Lutz had a strong effort before falling to the eventual gold medal winner from Western.
On the court, Ethan Earle continued his strong season with the Excalibur men's volleyball team, showing consistency in their final week of the OUA season. In a double header week against Ryerson, Earle led the team with nine points in the two matches against the Rams. The sophomore's play brought consistency to the middle of the lineup throughout the year.
