Badalato and Fournier named Excalibur Athletes of the Week (Nov 26-28)
Closing out the varsity calendar year, the Trent Excalibur volleyball teams took to the courts, led by this week's Athletes of the Week, Nic Badalato and Natalie Fournier.
In his first season on the Excalibur men's volleyball team, Badalato demonstrated composure this past weekend against the 6th best team in U Sports, the Toronto Varsity Blues. Badalato's hitting and timely blocks helped the Excalibur put on a strong showing, as he would finish with a total of 10 points over the two games this weekend.
Outside hitter for the Excalibur women's volleyball team, Fournier came up with strong defensive plays against the Varsity Blues (ranked #2 in U Sports), tallying 11 points over the two games over the weekend, including five kills and two blocks in the team's final game of 2021 on Sunday.
The Excalibur volleyball teams will return to action in the new year when they visit the Ryerson Rams on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
