Six members of the Excalibur rugby program named to 2021 OUA All-Star teams

Trent Athletics is very pleased to announce that a total of six Excalibur rugby student-athletes were represented in the Ontario University Athletics rugby regular season major award winners that was released on November 4, 2021.

Excalibur Women's Rugby

After a solid 3-1 record during the OUA regular season, three core members of the Excalibur women's rugby team have been named to the OUA All-Star team.

Representing the Excalibur on the OUA Russell Division All-Star team are fourth-year Alexa Vanderhorst (back three), third-year Amanda MacCarthy (hooker), and third-year Michelle Hopkins (second row).

Excalibur Men's Rugby

Three student-athletes from the Trent Excalibur men's rugby team have been named onto the OUA All-Star team, announced by the OUA.

Sophomore standout Kal Sager (back three) joins fourth year Alex Zajac (fly half), and fifth year veteran Will Hoffmann (back row) as the trio represents the Trent Excalibur on the 2021 OUA East All-Star team.

Congratulations to all of our Excalibur rugby OUA All-Stars on an incredible season. Together we are 1Excalibur!
