Excalibur rugby's Moodie, Jamieson, power through to this week's Athletes of the Week (Oct 15-17)
Veterans Maddy Moodie and Stuart Jamieson have been named this week's Trent Excalibur Athletes of the Week after strong performances led to big wins on the field for the Excalibur rugby teams!
The third year from Duoro-Dummer, Moodie's drive down the field help the Excalibur women's team to a 40-12 victory over the Toronto Varsity Blues. The win has the team in third place in the OUA Russell Division with a matchup against the Laurier Golden Hawks next weekend, Saturday, October 23.
On the men's side, Stuart Jamieson led the charge as the team hosted the Varsity Blues at Justin Chiu Stadium in their 2021 home opener. Executing big plays throughout the game, Jamieson score his first try of the season, while adding a strong run out away from the Excalibur goal line to preserve the 26-5 victory. The RMC Paladins are up next as the Excalibur play host on Saturday.
