Dominant play on the field has McLaughlin, Van Damme as Athletes of the Week (Oct 8-11)

A driving force on the Excalibur men's lacrosse team all season, midfielder Aidan McLaughlin's consistency in the face-off circle has earned him Athlete of the Week honours.

A leader on the team as one of the co-captains, McLaughlin's play has him as one of the leaders among defensive midfielders in the CUFLA Central Division. Leading by example on and off the field, he is the reigning All-Canadian face-off leader and continues to show chemistry alongside the elite play Curtis Conley and Curtis Romanchych on the wings.

The Excalibur men's lacrosse team clinched the Central Division title after their 11-4 win against the Nipissing Lakers.

Emily Van Damme continues to show why she is one of the top goaltenders in the OUA, as she came up with timely saves against a strong Queen's Gaels team. Her communication from the backend helps lead the Excalibur and continues to be a strong presence on and off the field. The women's team will close out their regular season play against the Toronto Varsity Blues on October 23, entering with a 3-4 record.
