Shepherd, Sager show dedication to their teams, named Athletes of the Week (Oct 1-3)
Putting in the work and dedicating their time and efforts into their respective teams, Excalibur rugby standout Kal Sager and Excalibur rowing leader Rosalyn Shepherd are this week's Athletes of the Week from October 1-3.
Over the weekend, Kal Sager played in the full 80-minute game, in a hard-hitting matchup against the Queen's Gaels. He was a great leader on the field and was able to break through the opposition's defence to score a try of the Excalibur rugby team. His leadership will carry forward for the rugby team's home opener at Justin Chiu Stadium in two weeks' time.
A busy Homecoming week for everyone involved, it was particularly so for Trent Excalibur rowing veteran Rosalyn Shepherd. As president of the Rowing team, she dedication and leadership by leading the volunteer efforts to get the Head of the Trent Regatta underway. Her two second place finishes in the lightweight 8+ and 2x races continues her strong performances on the water as she continues to be a leader to continuing a culture of inclusion and engagement within the team.
