Trent Rugby Booster Club

The Trent Rugby Booster Club is an organization that connects Trent Rugby Alumni, friends, family and supporters with the current varsity team. Throughout the year the Club holds social functions and raises funds to support Trent Rugby. Some of our events are pub nights, silent auctions, team and club reunions, golf outings, hall of fame dinner and the alumni match. We also send out newsletters and updates about the Varsity squad and all manner of Trent Rugby news.

Head of the Trent and the 1969 Trent Rugby Reunion

This year we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary reunion of the 1969 Trent Rugby team which was captained by Ron Reid and Gary Wolfe. As a team they won 12, lost 2 and tied 1, scored over 200 points and allowed only 35 points against them. The 1969 team was made up of players who founded the team in 1966.

Head of the Trent Rugby Events (Saturday, October 5, 2019)

11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Trent Rugby Alumni Game held at the East Bank Sports Field at Trent University

3:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Coffee House Reception for the team and family members held in Fitness Studio 2 at the Trent Athletics Centre. Co-hosted by Coach P.S.B. Wilson and Trent Rugby Booster Club President Caleb Smith '93. Other special guests include team co-captains Gary Wolff '67 and Ron Reid '66, as well as co-coach Tony Sherman '69.

5:45 pm: Trent Excalibur Men's Rugby Team takes on U of T and honours the 1969 team at half-time. 

8:00 pm: Post game Reunion Reception hosted by P.S.B. Wilson, the celebration continues for the team and family at the Ashburnham Ale House, located at 128 Hunter Street East, in the private event room. 

8:00 pm: Trent Rugby Team invites supporters of Trent Rugby to join them after the game. More details to be announced.
