EXCALIBUR’S TWOHEY RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION IN WOMEN’S SOCCER

First year women’s soccer player Emma Twohey is named one of the top young players in the country with announcement of the USport All-Rookie team.

Breaking into the first team as a first-year is a strong accomplishment, but Twohey, a Peterborough local, showed game in and game out that she was worthy of her spot in the starting eleven.

Twohey would finish the season with four (4) goals and two (2) assists. “I am honoured to receive this recognition,” said the Biology & Health Sciences student. Excalibur Head Coach Stuart Robertson was proud but not surprised. “Emma has proven that she can handle the rigours of being a standout student-athlete at the highest level,” said Robertson.

Twohey is excited about the success she had, but also working with the great team and growing moving forward. “Trent has given me a family of players and coaches that continuously support me and bring out the best in me on and off the field. With coach Stu’s guidance, we have growing confidence and high standards for next season”.
