PETERBOROUGH, ON

The Excalibur will hit the waters off St Catharine's Henley Island for a second weekend in a row, but this time they will face boats from across the country, not just the province.

Hopes will ride on teh whole team, but first year rowers Grace VandenBroek and Spencer Kielar will for sure be eyeing podium finishes after strong first season's with the Excalibur. As members of the Excalibur, both Kielar and VandenBroek have been identified through Rowing Canada's Next Gen Hub at Trent Univeristy as potential members of future Canadian national teams. For this weekend though, they will focus their attention on the best Canadian Universities have to offer. Both will be racing in single sculls.

Elsewhere, the women's lightweight program hopes to bounce back from a tough OUA Championships and have strong performances, while senior men's team members Dan Bullock and Dayton Kelly hope to help their boats to potential podium finishes as well.

Updates on the Canadian University Rowing Championships can be found at Regatta Central.
