Men's Volleyball Welcomes Ryan Austin | 2019-2020

Trent University is pleased to announce the signing of Ryan Austin, a 6'7" Opposite from London, Ontario. Ryan is a 4-year club player from London Volleyball Club (LVC) and Saunders Secondary School. He is both a provincial and national medalist, having won bronze this past season at the Ontario Championships and again in the National Championships.

Ryan is a multi-sport athlete and has competed for Saunders in volleyball, basketball, badminton and track and field.

"We're looking forward to having Ryan join us in the fall," explains Chris Wilding, Head Coach of the Men's Volleyball Program. "He is a dynamic athlete who brings a lot of size, energy and experience to our program."

"I am very excited to play for the Trent Men's team in the fall. I have already met everyone on the team and they are a great group of guys. I believe that the team has great potential and I have been very impressed by the culture," Ryan offers. "I really like the direction that the program is heading, so I am thrilled to soon be a part of the team."

"I think Trent is a fantastic school,” Ryan says. ”It is a very nice campus with a great atmosphere. Trent offers great programs and is a perfect fit for me both for academics and athletics."

Ryan will be studying Environmental Chemistry.
