The Trent University Excalibur women’s rugby team opened Homecoming at Head of the Trent 2017 with an exciting 36-32 victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks.
The entire game was filled with back and forth action consisting of tries by Kiarra Shaw (3), Hannah Cahill (1), Kristy Metzger (1), and kick conversions by Lauryn Bons (2), and Reagan MacDonald (1).
With seconds remaining in the game, fourth year Jordan Semark barged through multiple Hawk kettles to score the game winning try!
Meaning, with the win, the Excalibur improve their season record to 3-1, clinch 2nd place in their division, and earn a birth in the OUA women’s rugby quarterfinals!
