The Trent University Excalibur Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 22^nd are women’s soccer midfield Kaitlyn Steffler, and men’s rugby front row Mohamed Yusuf. 

Yusuf, a third year Psychology major, led his team to a strong fought battle against Brock. He scored the game opening try within minutes, and stood as a brick wall throughout the entire game!

Steffler, a fourth year Concurrent Education and Biology major, now earns her 2^nd Excalibur Athlete of the Week honor for the season. On Saturday, she scored three goals in a 3-2 victory over Nipissing, with the game-winning strike coming at the 90^th minute mark. Not to mention, she had 10 shots on goal! For a season total, she finishes tied at 4^th overall in the Ontario University Athletics goal scoring leaders category with 10 goals.
