Trent Men's Rugby is pleased to announce the commitment of Ontario Sevens/Fifteens player Tyler Webb (Barrie, ON). Webb currently a student at Bear Creek Secondary School will be enrolled at Trent University in September to study in our Business Administration Program (BBA).

Head Coach Tom McLeod is excited about Webb's commitment to the program, "having coached Tyler through TRU 7s, I know he has the potential to come in and be a significant contributor. He embodies exactly the type of athletes we are trying to bring in to the program. Guys who truly enjoy the game and are committed to learning to perform at the highest possible level."

When asked why Trent, "I felt like it was the best place for me to develop as a student and as a rugby player. I also fell in love with the campus when I came to the open house and the student atmosphere at Trent seems amazing and is something that I want to be apart of for the next four years," Mr. Webb replied.

Tyler Webb is a member of the Barrie Rugby Club and was a member of the Ontario Junior Blues U-17 fifteen-a-side program who battled BC in a three game series last summer. He also represented Toronto Rugby in 2016 at the Ontario Summer Games and New York 7's. Currently he is a member of the U-18 Ontario Junior Blues Sevens program heading to the National Championship in British Columbia later this week.
